LEARNER PERMIT COURSE

If you wish to ride a motorcycle or motor scooter in Victoria, you must obtain a Learner Permit first. You must hold it for at least three (3) months before you can undertake your Victorian Licence Test. Part of this process is a Knowledge Test, which you must complete. You should read the latest VicRoads Handbook, which you can download for free HERE.

We encourage you to gain as much knowledge and experience as a Learner as possible in preparation for your Victorian Motorcycle Licence Test. A Victorian Motorcycle Learner Permit is valid for up to fifteen (15) months. However, if the Learner Permit expires, you must start again, as it cannot be extended. The Motorcycle Learner Permit for Victoria is designed as a two (2) day course that will teach you all the required skills to enjoy your motorcycling experience. During this course, you will be taught basic motorcycle skills, including stopping, cornering, and much more.
